As a technical group, we value all people and honor their experiences, perspectives, and unique identity. We are committed to recognizing and celebrating the variety of characteristics, and intersectionality of lived experiences that make individuals unique. Diversity, equity, and inclusion are principles that are naturally interwoven into our TG’s research and applications. Diversity arises in the way we consider the breadth of human capabilities (e.g., physical and cognitive characteristics, anthropometry, strength). Equity aims to identify and remove barriers that prevent some groups from fully benefiting from workplace interventions and ensures that our tools and methods can accommodate the diversity of individuals in a workplace. We aim to support Inclusion through active engagement of our membership and the communities that influence and are in-turn impacted by our research and practice. Thus, as a group, we actively strive to promote inclusive workplaces and enable all workers to be safe, healthy, and productive.
