Volunteers check-in at the office and wear their EIM badge.
Coffee & Kleenex | What better group to console parents on the 1st day of school than grandparents eagerly waiting for them ready with a warm smile, Kleenex, coffee, and pastries? It’s an annual favorite, and many parents gather to visit and share summer stories.
Eat & Treat | Hosted by the Parent Association, grandparents assist in providing a spooktacular meal for our little goblins before trick-or-treating on Halloween night.
Grandparents Day & Book Fair Event | In November, grandparent volunteers are essential in preparing for and working our Book Fair. The fair lasts a full week and culminates with Grandparent’s Day. This day holds special significance as we gather to recognize the important role of grandparents in our families and school community. We begin the day with Mass, followed by classroom visits and refreshments. A favorite activity includes the grandparents working with their grandchildren to make a small craft item that can be shared within the broader community for local nursing homes or food banks.
Run With The Angels | It’s always fun to watch our angels run! And whenever they do, they always need a drink of cool water, warmly supplied by grandparents. We are always there with an encouraging word, which is greatly appreciated by our grandchildren trying to earn money for their school while they run.
