As you can probably tell from the blog name, I’m choosing to say “Hey!” when answering God’s call to serve in the UK this next year. Now, with my blog posts/ YAGM newsletters, I will also be able to say "Hey" from the UK to all of you back home praying for me and supporting me throughout this year!

I’m so excited to share all the transformational experiences to come as I continue to grow most importantly spiritually, but also personally and professionally. I am embracing all that comes with this year and fully trusting in God’s plan for my faith journey and the global connections it will bring.

I applied to the Young Adults in Global Mission (YAGM) program through the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). After speaking with an alum of the program, completing an initial phone interview, and participating in a final interview with Hazel from Time for God (a UK-based nonprofit and YAGM partner), I feel deeply called and grateful for the opportunity to accompany and learn from the community I’ll be placed in.
