Sunday Services

Our main Sunday service takes place at 10:00 AM. It is a warm, welcoming gathering shaped by our Anglican–Methodist partnership. There are activity packs for children and a crèche area for younger ones. 

Monthly Pattern

Our worship follows a simple monthly rhythm:

• First Sunday – Methodist Service of the Word

• Second Sunday – Anglican Service of the Word

• Third Sunday – Methodist Holy Communion

• Fourth Sunday – Anglican Holy Communion

• Fifth Sunday – Anglican Holy Communion with anointing

Children and Families

Children are always welcome at Heslington Church. We want families to feel relaxed, at home, and able to join in at whatever pace works for them.

• Activity packs are available every Sunday.

• A crèche area is set up for babies and toddlers.

• Storytime takes place on the last Sunday of the month, offering a simple story, crafts, and play in our dedicated children’s room.

• Children are welcome to stay in the main worship space if they prefer — there are toys and colouring materials available.

Whether your child is quiet, energetic, curious, or still finding their feet, they are welcome here.

Holy Communion

Communion is celebrated regularly throughout the month.

All are welcome to receive, or to come forward for a blessing.

You are free to stay seated if you prefer — there is no pressure or expectation. Gluten‑free wafers are available. 

After the Service

Tea, coffee, and conversation are served after worship. It’s a relaxed time to meet people, ask questions, and get to know the community.
