From time to time, RWJF and some of our program staff share new content internally and amplify key findings from grantees through social media channels (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook), email newsletters, etc. Please alert Sheldon Watts (swatts@rwjf.org) if you have content you’d like RWJF to consider sharing on your behalf.
Our HES4A web page on RWJF.org serves as the primary vehicle sharing information about the program and its purpose.
HES4A can also help amplify your communications and coordinate internal RWJF approvals (if needed). Scholars can reach out directly to Sheldon Watts (swatts@rwjf.org) with these kinds of requests. Assistance will be given on a case-by-case basis, depending on bandwidth and time.
Here are some helpful resources from RWJF on using social media to share your research.
We strive to create a collaborative environment in which scholars can easily communicate and interact with each other, their coaches and mentors, as well as the broader network of REL program grantees and others working to build a Culture of Health. Examples of the types of communication and peer networking opportunities you can expect from HES4A include:
HES4A newsletter email that includes programmatic updates and highlights research from scholars.
Semi-annual video or phone conferences with HES4A program leadership and current scholars to share project progress or elicit guidance and insight related to challenges you may be facing.
Virtual social network connections.
We hope that you will serve as a champion for HES4A and take an active role in efforts to disseminate information about your research, as well as that of fellow HES4A scholars, and about the program itself. We ask you to participate in activities such as contributing content for a Culture of Health blog post or an RWJF newsletter, presenting your research findings at conferences or in front of decision-makers, tweeting about the program and/or other scholars’ research, etc. Our hope is that these activities will make more visible the need to center equity in research and augment the reach of your work.
