Our Boosterthon Fun Run kicks off on September 23 with character education videos and fundraising challenges each day, culminating in our big event, the Fun Run, on Thursday, October 2. All students will go out to the soccer field during their designated time to run laps with music, cheering, and themes as part of our fundraising campaign. What a great way to build school spirit all while fundraising for school projects! This year we are raising money to support a Learning Lab at school, which is an alternate classroom space with neat furniture options that classes can go to for special projects or just a break from their regular classroom environment for a lesson. We're also raising money for playground improvements, including communication boards. These are large picture based boards to support students with difficulty expressing themselves verbally. In the building students may use an iPad with a picture menu to touch the picture that corresponds with what they're looking to express, and the iPad says the word orally for their friend or teacher. It's difficult to hold an iPad to be your voice when you're having a blast on the playground, so these communication boards help students connect with friends through play. They can also support language development and reading skills for our all learners as pictures are paired with words. We look forward to meeting our goal of raising $12,000 for these initiatives!
We're excited to share our QR code for Zelle! As busy parents, we know many folks want to help, but are limited on time, or would like to donate, but don't always have cash. We hope this is an easy platform for those interested in donating. Please make a note of what you'd like the donation to go towards in the memo line of the Zelle transfer.
