sketches are one of the primary things i do; sketching is done on a colored background with a dark value layer for lines and a highlight layer for detailing.

OPTION 1; SIMPLE BACKGROUND; these are full-character renders with shading, highlights and polish. the background is artist's choice and, more than likely, a solid paint color or a gradient.
$55 - icon; head/shoulders of your character
$75 - bust; head/shoulders/waist
$100 - full body; head/shoulders/waist/feet
OPTION 2; COMPLEX BACKGROUND; these are full-character renders with shading, highlights and polish. the background is the client's choice and can be whatever they want. the price of the image hinges entirely on how involved the background is.
the examples provided cap out at ~$175; clients are advised to expect a price quote around this region.
$225 pieces involve heavy interaction between the subject and the background; the more knitting i need to do between the layers, the more expensive the project will be.
regardless of option, my illustrations take a lot of thought and care. i want to be sure we meet in the middle of your idea and my execution -- and that can take a lot of time. i take my illustration work very seriously and meditate on poses and flow for, at times, weeks.
you are trusting me with a lot of your character and i want to get it right. these receive numerous check-ins to be certain i am on the right track; i will be in discussion with you about my current ideas for your project.
illustrations take 1-3 months and up to 6 months for more detailed or complex settings.

my favorite option (and probably my most sought-after)! labrat sessions are discounted artistic freedom commissions; after studying them, i sketch your character a few times and send you the results. these sketches can then be turned into full renders at a discounted rate; as a result, they are typically rougher/focused on specific details.
the catch is you cannot tell me what to draw; i choose based off your input what i feel suits your subject and my tastes. you can think of these as informed gacha:
the order form encourages all clients to bring information about their subject. the more information you give me about the subject and your interests with them, the better i am able to perform. personality, story, fashion and other details you find important are things i will find important.
for labrats, this is crucial to understanding your subject.
these do not receive many check-ins.
i study your character and reach out to confirm your order. we'll speak briefly and i will get to work shortly after. we will likely not speak again until i am nearing the end of your order.
these are not available for refunds for obvious reasons. be certain prior to purchase.
labrats receive 1 guaranteed fullbody sketch of their subject and 2 other sketches that i feel encapsulate their vibe.
-standard labrat sessions are $85 for 3 sketches.
-colored labrat sessions are $119, and you can pick one of said sketches for me to finish up.
-add-on: either labrat; +for $25/ea, you can add up to 2 additional sketches for a total of 5.

labrats are artistic freedom and able to be worked quicker than other order types.
your expected order completion for a labrat is 1-2 months. color adds ~2wks to the wait time for color.
also:
at any opening you may request i color/finish a prior labrat sketch; i will give you a discounted quote based off of the work already performed. [i.e, a $60 fullbody sketch will be removed from the cost of a $100 fullbody (w/ no background) render -- for an updated quote of $40.]
you may place an order for me to color as many labrat sketches as you are willing to wait for; i will give you a bundle quote if you are requesting more than one.

*if you are submitting a repeat character for a labrat, you do not need to repeat the character information unless it has changed.
