Rio Secco is blessed with fantastic topography and numerous breathtaking views of the Las Vegas horizon, but we do have some continuous building surrounding the property.

This is a course that I have played several times but my latest check out on 2/4 could not have been even worse. The course was in okay shape for the time of year however the course management couldn't have actually been worse. We really needed to leave our round early because of incredibly slow play. As we were riding in from # 14 we understood the problem. Not one but two 6 gamer groups remained in front of us. After 14 holes we were pressing to 4 hours and darkness was fast approaching. Even the beverage cart woman kept in mind the backed up nature of the course and let us know we would not be able to finish. When we reached the club home we let the individual in the Proshop know about the issue and he actually shrugged his shoulders and turn around to do something else. This is the type of service I would anticipate from a $50 public course not a $200 a round center. If all of that wasn't bad enough I was sent a study after my round. I submitted the survey with my obstacles I detailed above and have yet to hear any feedback ... excellent golf course however service left something to be desired.

I have actually been coming here for the previous 2 years,( I'm a junior with youth on course subscription) and they have on the website for YOC that it is a youth on course golf course. So I went today and now I am being informed I have to pay an additional 50$ a month to strike range balls. Bear in mind this is not a country club or personal course. So just as a heads up for future reference, if you are a junior or any other individual be prepared to hand them another 50$ on top of the currently big playin pr

There are a great deal of positives about Henderson's Rio Secco from the views to the conditions to the range of holes. But all of that was overshadowed by the lack of decision making. Strike the fairway then aim for the middle of the green, repeat. Missing a fairway was almost certainly a lost ball, so difficult one side or the other was not a choice, and would not have actually produced an advantage.
