HEM News Agency (HEMNA) (formerly the Half-Eaten Mind) was begun in April 2012 as a news and current affairs blog in Stratford, east London, UK covering fresh and current news from a local (London), national (United Kingdom) and international perspective. Publishing twice a day on weekends and daily on holiday periods, HEMNA also publishes features, personal articles from the author and promotional work and is actively reaching out to clients wishing to promote their business, press releases or other information to a wider audience. Our main news articles come in the form of special 'news digests' - bulletins - that cover some of the breaking major and niche news stories and other events breaking at that moment.
It is said that in journalism, there are five core values every media professional should abide by in their craft: namely truth and accuracy, independence, fairness and impartiality, humanity and accountability. At HEMNA, we hold these values close to our heart and ensure accurate, unbiased and concise reporting.
We source the vast majority of our news from third-party sources via our social media networks. These include major and smaller news organisations. We also edit and publish our own news exclusives and features.
The blog benefits from considerable traffic from all over the world and is at the centre of a community of fellow bloggers and supporters whom we have christened the 'HEM Community'.
HEMNA has been operating from Ilford, Essex, UK since 2017, and is owned and managed by journalism graduate and writer Vijay Shah.
