See you then!
I've compiled some questions I've been asked and some I anticipate which you can view on the FAQ page. It includes information about funds transparency, how to print your own zine copies, and more!
If it's not in your budget to donate anything to Famara's GoFundMe, it's OK! There are still ways you can help!
Spreading the message is the best way you can help support this dream of bringing water to a community in need. The more eyes and ears we reach, the better chance we have of reaching folks who can spare some financial support. Here's some ideas of how you can spread the word:
Share this webpage on social media or tell a friend
Share the digital version of the "Famara the Farmer" zine with your Discord, Reddit, Twitch, scouts group, club or association members, or even to a friends or family text group
Create copies of the zine to hand out to interested people or to leave (responsibly, and with permission) in places people may find them, like lobbies, welcome desks, or community boards in places like local businesses, farmer's markets and co-ops, farmer supply stores, spiritual centers, or your school, university, or place of business
If you're talking to someone who you think would care, offer them your copy of the zine (or a copy you've made!) just like you might offer them a business card.
If you are a teacher or work with young folks, consider how a story like Famara's could fit into lessons on social studies, business development, resource management, empathy, cultural exchange, community engagement, and more! Students who want to get involved further could fold and distribute Farmer Famara zines, or even design their own! Reach out if you would like to collaborate!
Remember, there are places to get free- or low-cost prints made like libraries or schools! Just be sure you are obtaining copies ethically, and if you're a young person, please ask a trusted adult to oversee any of your awareness-spreading activities!
