Monitoring player activity is an essential part of a Helper’s role, and there are several tools at your disposal to help with this. The Essentials plugin, for instance, offers a variety of commands that can assist with moderation. One such command is /vanish, which allows you to observe players without being seen. This is particularly useful for catching rule breakers who might otherwise alter their behavior if they knew they were being watched. The AdvancedBan plugin is another tool that you might use. This plugin allows you to check a player’s history with the /checkban command, which can help you determine whether they have prior infractions and decide on the appropriate action.

Real-Game Examples:

Observing Players with /vanish: You suspect a player is griefing when no staff are online. You use /vanish to watch their behavior unnoticed.
- Action: Monitor the player’s actions while in vanish mode and gather evidence.
Checking Player Histories with /checkban: A player has been reported for misbehavior. You use /checkban to see if they have a history of rule-breaking.
- Action: Review the player’s ban history before deciding on further action.
Monitoring Chat with Essentials Plugin: You use the Essentials plugin to track player interactions in chat, helping you identify potential issues.
