HelpAround is an online platform that matches willing volunteers with people in need, designed specifically with the COVID-19 outbreak in mind [and for the Northern Ireland area]. HelpAround is a name used by Etrend Ltd. References to “us”, “HelpAround”, “our” and “we” are to Etrend Ltd, the owner and developer of the platform.
HelpAround is used to connect volunteers with those who need help - simple everyday tasks, such as picking up a newspaper, walking a dog, etc. - and match the volunteer with the task. The matching of tasks is performed using our HelpAround platform. We are a platform provider; we are not providing any other service. We are offering our platform free of charge for the current purpose. For ease of reference we refer to those providing help as the “Helper” and those who are seeking assistance as the “Requestor”.
Your privacy and the security of your personal information is extremely important to us. Any information you provide when requesting assistance or provided by you as a volunteer through using HelpAround will be used in accordance with this Policy. This Policy explains what we do to keep any information obtained through our platform secure. The data we collect is essential to the service – both our service as a platform provider and those we connect. We will share your data only as required to connect you or for other legitimate business reasons; we will not sell on your personal data.

You can decide if you wish to share other information with the party we connect you with; that is entirely your choice and responsibility. We collect only the information required for the connection.
Please be aware that while using our platform we match a Requestor with an available Helper which results in the sharing of the request and information associated with the request. Personal data collected as part of the request, such as name, address, telephone number and email address will be shared with the Helper. HelpAround is not responsible for the privacy practices of Helpers or Requestors. You must appreciate that the Helper or Requestor may share your personal data with others outside the platform and that is not our responsibility.
