Who’s Behind This?
This website is a volunteer effort of private individuals. The creators are in no way affiliated with any of the organizations nor gain any financial benefit hereof.
The war started February, 24th in Ukraine caused a defection of civilians en masse to neighbouring countries. Many had to make the impossible choice to leave their pets behind, as it was not known in the early days that their pets were welcome in the neighbouring countries. Foreign students could not board a plane with their pets. Some animals lost their humans in the bombings. And some never had a family at all.
Our hearts ache for all the innocent animals, who are struggling in this senseless war. Living overseas we can help by donating directly to the shelters, avoiding unnecessary intermediate steps and fees. We wanted to make it easier by compiling all the information about the shelters and the payment methods they accept in one place. We are also adding details of organisations, that are helping on the ground, importing food, medications, and other essentials to the shelters, as well as those helping to evacuate animals abroad.
The website is updated daily. If you know of an organisation in need that is not listed here or if you have the means to help with supplies, vet care, volunteering, transport, or anything else - please fill out this form.
