This video clip is "Tips & Tricks Part 2" that shows you a few more.
This video clip shows you in detail how to adjust settings and install some of the popular Apps.
The following notes were made while watching the video and are intended to help with information you need to enter and better understanding the actions to be taken.
1. The video begins by showing you how to change a few settings then goes on to install some popular Apps from the Google Play Store.
ES File Explorer
Kodi & SPMC [lookalike]
Side Launcher
MX Player [Free, Pro is also an option]
VLC
2. Next you are shown how to use the ES File Explorer App to ....
Turn ‘recycle bin’ off to save space
Settings > Notifications
Settings > Logger Floating Widgets
Favourites > Add URL for Google to the others that are available in the left hand menu
N.B. Since this entry was first made the App has had a lot of bad criticism, so proceed with caution.
3. Learn how to use Google to find, download, and install the Aptoide App which is used to obtain other free Apps in a similar way to using the Google Play Store.
Note when typing the names of the Apps listed below they sometimes need to be entered as one long word [without spaces] in order for them to be found by the search function. Also when results are returned there can be more than one that matches your search criteria so it is useful to see the different coloured icons that are shown in the video to ensure you select the correct App for installation.
4. This is a list of Apps that are installed during the video using Aptoide ...

6. Finally the video shows you how to use the Sideload Launcher icon on the Home screen to access any of the above Apps that you've downloaded and installed via what is known as "Leanback Shortcuts".
If you have watched and followed the above video you may find that you are continually clicking on the Sideload Launcher icon then having to select your chosen App from the list of Leanback Shortcuts that is presents which can be a little tedious.
You will therefore be pleased to learn that there is a method of selecting any sideloaded App from Leanback Shortcuts list and modifying it so that it can be moved to your Home screen like a standard App for easier access. This involves using a special App called TV App Repo [installed from the Google Play Store] that takes any Leanback Shortcut you nominate and uploads it to 'the cloud' where it is processed and a new [standard] App icon is returned that is suitable for placing on your home screen.
Click here to watch a short video that explains the above process in detail allowing you to select which icons you want to move where.
