Click here to visit another Help site that focuses specifically on Apps. Note that the information may be relevant for a number of Android devices but due to physical characteristics of certain streaming boxes not everything may be suitable to them all.
Click here to watch a video showing the features of the Android Smartphone App that provides an alternate way of accessing the interface on your TV screen instead of using the remote handset.
This is another App that shows you everything you'll need to access live TV channels around the world, and movies, using the player of your choice. You may find this flexible approach handy if your device performs better with a media player you are familiar with and you are not tied to something that is 'built-in' but perhaps does not perform so well on your device.
Click here to watch the video featuring the FileLinked store for which you will need the code of '14224735' and PIN '1234' [if these values are no longer working a Google search should provide any updates]
This is a great App is you are interested in watching films. There are many similar Apps available but this one stands out for being well designed, easy to use and search for content, and the streams themselves launch quickly and are of good quality [unlike some other Apps that make selecting / playing films awkward and then the actually quality of the films leave a lot to be desired] so it's really worth giving it a try.

We all know that Youtube is a great place to watch videos of all kinds of topics. However watching them online is not always possible and you may prefer to be able to download such content to watch offline. If this appeals to you here are a selection of methods you can use for both Windows and Android.
Click here to visit the Nvidia help page "Step by step guide for easiest way to install apps not on AndroidTV store"
Click here for a great video that explains how to go about getting additional Apps for your device that are not readily available using the built in "add App" facility.
Making notes while watching the video can be useful as there is a lot of information to digest - especially if you are not used to carrying out these kinds of changes.
The significant points of this process are :-
Using the "Puffin TV" browser [install if necessary] to search for the site "dorkboxhd.com" [that you can then bookmark in the browser]
You can navigate around the site easily with the Shield remote and select any App[s] you wish to download.
After downloading your selection go to the Puffin browsers "Downloads" folder and install your apk files from there.
N.B.
There are many other reliable sources for obtaining Apps including APKMirror and APKPure.
There are also many other videos available on Youtube [canned search] that deal with installing Apps using different methods and tools.
You may find that your Shield already does everything you need, but if you want it to do a little bit more then there are some additional Apps you can install to make mundane or tricky jobs a lot easier.
These are all well documented online and some favourites include ...
