Many thanks to the visitors' support for more than ten years, I have been recently invited to write a chapter 'Internet resources for the history of English', to appear in vol. III of New Cambridge History of the English Language (general editor: Raymond Hickey). I took this opportunity to make some major updates of this website, e.g. addition of new pages, reorganisation of existing pages and cleaning of old links.

This site has a Twitter account, which shares the latest news about HEL. Please feel free to follow it!
