Genderfluid: What it means and what people get wrong
Genderfluid people do not experience gender in the static way that others do. Instead, their gender identity changes randomly. They have no control over when their gender changes or for how long it stays that way. The genderfluid flag has five colors, pink, white, purple, black, and blue, representing femininity, lack of gender, masculinity, femininity and androgyny, all other genders, and masculinity, respectively. Genderfluid people go through many of the same struggles other trans people do. For instance, they are expected to look androgynous, like non-binary people. However, forcing aesthetic expectations on others based on their gender is like saying that all types of wood should only be one type of furniture. The most important thing to remember about genderfluid people is that they are first and foremost people. Regular, everyday people.
