The 777X for X-Plane is a joint venture of 3 major developers, each having created a benchmark product of their own in the past. Their expertise comes together when taking up on the challenge of building the most realistic ever built flight simulation product in history.
While you can expect to get a fully functional airplane, the great features aren't necessarily the obviously great PBR Visuals and Graphics Effects, but the System Depth and great range of functional elements, giving you access to nearly everything you would experience in real life. Beyond the familiar technologies of the 777-300ER and 787, this 777X will include:
Integrated new technologies, such as the IANS (IAN), GNSLS (GLS), Head Up Display
Modelled Passengers on board with actual seat assignment, affecting instant weight & balance calculation
Sounds Modules for Airplane, Crew, Onboard Communications, Passengers, Cargo, Weather Effects
Cabin Management System (Cabin Crew Simulation capable)
usable Galleys and Cabin Objects (overhead bins, seats, tablets and dishes, lighting, entertainment system)
Cargo management, including functional vehicles, objects and loading process
777X-specific camera and movement system (walk around and work interaction)
Due to the size of the project, we focus exclusively on the -9 Variant
Releases will happen in 3 steps: 1. Base Product (May 2022), 2. Systems complete (September 2022), 3. Full (December 2022)
Pre-Orders from 12 Dec 2021 -12 Apr 2022: USD 79,00, Purchase at Launch is USD 99,00.
"What we wanted is a benchmark plane that can be handled throughout the entire ground and flight process and that includes work-on-elements for pilots, cabin crew, ground staff and more. it will not be a next add-on, it will be an integrated platform of its own. For that purpose we have not only acquired proven talents of common scopes like engineering, 3d-modelling and graphic design, but also camera experts, motion capture artists, a Load manager and a 3D-Sound Designer. Much effort is given to C++ programming support and aerodynamics mathematics. But we are also looking for creatives and tec geeks in 3D-scanning, Texture Artists, and 3D-Motion Design. We want X-Plane Users to spend as much time on this virtual plane as they would on a real one's longhaul flight, before they feel ready to turning off their PC again."
If you feel the spirit of this venture and if you are ready to invest your time and know how into what's not been done before, sign up and be on the hall of fame name plate for the next generations to come and to see.
