Helena Perović

Welcome!

I am currently a PhD student at KU Leuven, supervised by prof. dr. Stefaan Vaes and co-supervised by dr. Adriana Fernández Quero. My research focuses on rigidity questions in the theory of von Neumann algebras.

I obtained my bachelor’s degree from the University of Montenegro in July 2023. In July 2025, I completed my master’s degree at KU Leuven, where I wrote my master’s thesis under the supervision of dr. Mario Klisse in operator algebras and noncommutative geometry. In this work, I studied Hecke C*-algebras through the framework of compact quantum metric spaces.
