In standing firm on its mission, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. provides a vast array of public service initiatives through its Five Programmatic Thrust of Economic Development, Educational Development, International Awareness and Involvement, Physical and Mental Health, and Political Awareness and Involvement.

Since its founding in 1913, on the campus of Howard University, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. has clearly set itself apart as a distinguished public service organization that tackles the challenges and issues of African Americans, and all Americans. Over the years, they have set the standard of working hard and speaking up for injustices for not only African Americans, but for women and all people.
