About Us

The Helena Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was chartered on June 2, 1967 in Helena, Arkansas. Twelve determined women embarked on a mission to instill in their community and counties in the area, community service opportunities that would bring a positive light and change for all. These dynamic women fashioned a legacy of hard work, dedication, and passion for human-kind that still can be felt through the Chapter today.

The Helena Alumnae Chapter continues to grow and thrive, while making an impactful change in the communities of Phillips County. The Chapter takes joy in sponsoring programs such as Voter Registration Drives, STEM Career Symposiums, Dr. Seuss Read Aloud, our Annual Scholarship Gala, Group Fitness: Heart Health Awareness, and Financial Fortitude programs like Scam Alert and Securing the Bag, just to name a few.

The Chapter continues to strive to uphold the vision and legacy of our 22 Founders of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc, and aims to continue being a beacon of change for our community.
