Jobs that grew in demand due to the apocalypse are the EXTERMINATORS and SCOUTS, with respective sub-categories underneath. Due to various reasons wherein the remnants feel like the LIBERATION could not attend to their needs and are desperate enough for assistance, they may put up requests in certain shops within the various cities of the LIBERATION. Said-shops vary from one another as their official services merely serve as a front for being the middleman between the remnant's requests and the vigilante's aid, and can usually be set up by anyone who has enough connections with both remnants and vigilantes alike. These 'shops' are individually called a NEXUS, Nexuses in plural, and is usually managed by remnants called a NEXI. Nexuses, however, are ILLEGAL and thus, several shops are usually closed down during the year due to the suspicion they are actually a nexus, and the owners are taken into custody, usually never seen again. In order for a fledging vigilante to gain access to the job listings provided by a nexus, one must first prove their combat prowess as well as the ability to get the jobs done, usually via getting their name known in one way or another. Nexus owners can then seek out vigilantes or do something similar in order to get in contact with the vigilante and thus, finally offer to take on a partnership with them.
Take caution: Asking for help from vigilantes in the nexus does not assure the safety of the remnant requesting help. Nexuses merely lie as the middleman of requests and hold no responsibility of the safety of the remnant.
Jobs are usually printed in contract, and in order to take a job, a vigilante must leave their mark on the contract to show the request has been taken by this specific Vigilante. These marks can be done manually or with a personalized stamp for ease. Proceedings for job takings vary from one nexus to the next and act accordingly to the owner's decisions. Additionally, having a specified sub-category for the job earns the Vigilante REPUTATION once they finish jobs in accordance to what they specialize in. The higher their reputation is, the more sought-after their services are and hence, they gain higher pays and rewards. Thus, it is considered the norm for newer vigilantes to constantly specify their sub-category beside their alias, until they feel that they've already gathered enough REPUTATION and have made a name for themselves in that respect.
Besides the usage of a nexus, however, vigilantes can offer their services to people in secrecy or give people a personal way to request their services; that is, if they can find the safe way to do so without selling themselves out.
Be warned -- the more well-known your Vigilante is, the more the LIBERATION is after their head.
They are usually the ones who hunt down the creatures or to clear out certain areas to make it safe for living. However, some exterminators make it a job to dispose of other vigilantes, to lessen the competition, and Liberation officers, for reasons obvious. The sub-categories of the exterminators are the following:
> Primal Hunters - Only targets difficult Type 2 Creatures, maximizing efficiency while reaping high rewards. Strength is the best skill to have for this kind of exterminator.
> Area Wipe-Out - Deals with Type 1 Creatures, and easy Type 2 Creatures. They excel in clearing out wide areas filled with plants and fauna for it to become a habitable place or to remove the low-levelled dangers before it worsens. This kind of exterminators should have a high level of speed.
> Assassins - Almost no information could be found from them with the exception of the best brokers and expensive fees. They are on the top of the WANTED list of the Liberation and on the blacklists of fellow Vigilantes, and are also known to take the dirty jobs unlisted on the local market listings. Secrecy is what they do best.
> Freelance - Accepts whatever request but at the cost of lesser pay and rewards. Due to the fact free-lancers have no specializations, they are automatically deemed less credible than other Vigilantes. Freelancers should be adaptable, even more so than other Vigilantes, and usually deign to not specify their sub-categories when putting down their marks on their contracts at all.
They are the ones that don't primarily engage in battle but focus on gathering information or resources from the ruins infested with the creatures, from the liberation, and sometimes, from other vigilantes themselves. The sub-categories of the scouts are the following:
> Brokers - More or less, the information brokers of the Vigilantes. They usually have the dirt on almost anyone, the best ways to deal with creatures, and connections from with various Exterminators and some Liberation officers themselves. Being well-known is dangerous for Brokers, and it's an absolute must for them to have their identities hidden, lest they want to get assassinated.
> Thieves - They are best at looting anything or getting back what is rightfully (or wrongfully) yours, as long as you have the payment asked. Gathering materials and items are what they excel at, even from the toughest of creatures or any well-defended places. Stealth is their key trait.
> Recons - As various places are still left unexplored due to the number of creatures all around, recons are sought after in order to get the mapping of those dangerous locations. They excel at finding habitable locations, gathering first-hand information from treacherous areas and creatures themselves, and finding out the best ways to infiltrate somewhere. Quick wits are the recons' valuable trait.
> Freelance - The same as the Exterminators' Freelance.
