The Heinsbroek, Day and Peters labs at UAB are awarded a Multi-Investigator Award for studying  single cell and spatial transcriptomics changes in the nucleus accumbens after opioid use and withdrawal. 

In collaboration with Dr. Carina Soares-Cunha we published a comprehensive review on the regulation of motivated behvaiors and reinforcement by the Ventral Pallidum in  Frontiers in Neural Circuits 

Our collaborative work with the lab of Drs. Jamie Peters and David Olson on the therapeutic effects of Tabernanthalog (TBG) in a polydrug use model was published in Psychedelic Medicine 

The lab officially opens in Birmingham at UAB in the department of Neurobiology
