Guided Inquiry Design
Carol Kuhlthau's research in the informational search process has led to the creation of Guided Inquiry which includes these phases:
Open >> Immerse>> Explore >> Identify >> Gather >> Create >> Share >> Evaluate
Through this model students journal, use logs, and charts and function as members of an inquiry community and circles where they share and get feedback

Stripling Model
The inquiry model adopted the state of New York and which serves as the basis for many other models of inquiry is the Stripling Model by Barbara Stripling. The model focuses on a cycle that includes: Connect >> Wonder >> Investigate >> Construct >> Express >> Reflect
