Heather's Tutoring Ayrshire provides personal and professional tutoring services from P1 - S5. I can help children overcome difficulties and develop a love of learning. I tutor in maths, English, science, geography, history and French. I also help children develop their own confidence and sense of who they are as learners.

Welcome to Heather's Tutoring Ayrshire. I am a fully qualified teacher in the ages 3 to 17. I have worked in Scottish and international schools for the last 15 years and I have provided individual tutoring for the past 12 years. I am able to provided a tailored support program for students based on their needs. I also provide extensive support and guidance for the Nat 5 and Higher exams including subject specfic revision alongside study skills and preparation.
Although I am qualified as a classroom teacher, my passion lies in supporting those learners who struggle in school. My philosophy is that education should fit the child not that the child should fit the education system. At Heather's Tutoring Ayrshire I work with the parent and child to develop an individual education plan based upon the needs and interests of the child. I believe that learning should be fun and child centred, thus I encourage children to create and monitor their own goals and be active in their learning journey.
Alongside tutoring children aged 3 - 17 I also provide academic support to upper secondary and college students. Sometimes we all need a little extra guidance when it comes to how to study effectively, plan the perfect essay or mastering those citations. That's where I can help.
