Using the equipment shown below, over 5000 photos were digitized and cataloged to preserve precious memories for present use and future enjoyment. Some of these pictures were used to create a photo book of the beginning of the relationship with my husband and our wedding (see the slideshow above).

The digital files were cataloged by date [year-month-day (if known)-activity (if known)], shown below. Folders were also created for specific people and/or events to group large amounts of similar folders and digital files together. This format has already proven useful in looking for photos of our oldest son for his upcoming high school graduation.
