My parents have told me that I'm quite the curious George by birth, and I agree. For a long time, crystals have piqued my interest. On a personal level, last year was a disaster for me. I was in the middle of a hurricane, had had an identity struggle, and had reached a professional glass ceiling, believing there was nothing left to discover. When you've spent your whole life wanting something, you're more likely to work for it. I wanted something to keep me upbeat and cheerful. For the first ten years of my career, nothing changed, but then I started asking questions. Making a career transition later in life can be tough, but it is not impossible. Fighting an unforgiving machine that is skewed in favor of the elite is difficult enough. Is it true that I am a materialist? Is this how I want my life to turn out? I quickly responded with a resounding ‘no.'
I came across Love Yourself Apothecary, a friend's Instagram username, while browsing through Instagram and found she was trying to cure people. I decided I needed to see her, so I went in with an open mind, and it really helped me get out of my funk. Along the way, I have dealt with my anxiety problems. She presented me with a Rose Quartz to aid in maintaining an open spirit. In addition, I have a Citrine to make me welcome prosperity into my life. Since then, I've had a sense of wealth and peace that I can't put into words. But, in order to learn more, I asked two crystal dealers to teach us what they know.
Farishte Crystals' Shabnam Contractor
Crystals had been a part of my life on and off since childhood, before I became acquainted with the mineral world about a decade ago. I felt inspired to share their healing abilities with the world after seeing them on an energetic level and seeing the incredible changes they brought about in my own life. My goal is to raise awareness of crystals' life-changing, medicinal, and magical properties. “Every home should have at least one crystal,” said the final nudge, which came from a divine insight to spread the message of their life. Since it was born out of a profound passion and resonance with the crystal universe, this is the most interesting work I've ever done. Hundreds of inquiries have since reinforced my confidence in the One Consciousness that we are all part of.
Love Yourself Apothecary's Shikha Agarwal
I'm a crystal healer and a past life regression specialist based in Mumbai. My relationship with crystals began in 2010, when I was researching and working in London. As a lover of all things esoteric and mystic, I happened to wander into a philosophical bookstore and, after buying a few books, the lady behind the counter offered me a little purple crystal tumble (Amethyst) to hold. That night, I tried to leave it beside my pillow, and the next thing I knew, a lady's voice was trying to communicate with me inside my mind. I freaked out and went online to learn more about the stone, which vibrates at a high level and can interact with you as well as heal you. I began reading about crystals and gathering them as a result of the little Amethyst tumble. I quickly began working with them and discovered that they are very effective on both the mental and physical bodies. I haven't looked back since then.
Before you dive into the realm of crystals, have the following points in mind:
1. What exactly are crystals?
Shabnam: They're essentially mineral atoms and molecules solidified into a finely ordered form. They shape over hundreds of years and are contained in the Earth's crust. They are also considered to be a Heavenly Gift to Humanity. Each crystal has a metaphysical identity, an attribute that can aid in the healing of other living beings.
Shikha: Crystals are natural rocks that are found on the surface of the Earth. In comparison to our 3D universe, they vibrate at a very high frequency (5D). They are connected to our seven chakras and therefore have the ability to heal both our physical and emotional bodies.
#2. How do you pick crystals?
Shabnam: When you are attracted to a particular crystal, you can choose it by instant attraction. They can also be selected by specifying the existing objectives and a desire to improve and boost certain fields. Improved partnerships, job prospects, and so forth. They engage with the consumer energetically by raising frequencies in order to attune to the crystal's pure and pristine energy levels. As a result, there could be an increase in the appropriate location. Both crystals are sentient beings that need tender loving care.
They will always be our mates.
Shikha: Well, the crystals have chosen us. Holding a few crystals in your hand is the perfect way to choose one. You will be drawn to one in particular. You'll keep coming back to it no matter what. You might have a tingling sensation in your fingertips, a humming energy in your back, a sense of lightheadedness or a shiver flowing through your whole body, or you might even start weeping while you hold the particular crystal. There are signals that the body needs the particular crystal to heal and that the crystal is physically and emotionally connected to you.
#3. What are the advantages and how can I use them?
Shabnam: Crystals perform well when applied to the body and can be used in yoga, carried in your bag, slept with under the pillow, or worn as jewelry. They must be allowed to enter the energy field and work their magic! Large natural crystals, such as Geodes and clusters, can be stored at home to keep the energetic atmosphere clear. Spaces also make use of shaped objects such as circles, pumps, and towers. Smaller natural stones, jewelry, tumbles, and spheres will suffice for personal use.
Shikha: Since crystals vibrate at a higher frequency, they can only work with love and light. They have no negative side effects or reactions to them. They will help you in a variety of ways. For example, if you're going through a breakup or need to restore your heart, you can communicate with the heart chakra and use crystals like Rose Quartz, Rhodonite, or Kunzite. These are strong heart healing that aid in the healing of the heart and the release of any internal pain that has been lodged there. If you're suffering from anxiety, crystals like Lepidolite and Amethyst will help you feel better. The easiest way to deal with them is to have them under your pillow at night, where they can work on your auric field and interact with you by visions, astral travel, and other means. Speak to them, meditate with them. Talking to your crystals creates a connection between you and your stone, which is a wonderful way to communicate with them.
#4. How should you look after your crystals?
Shabnam: I'm talking about indirect sunshine, not direct sunlight. They can be seen on a window sill or in a brightly lit part of your home. Moonlight: To cleanse and recharge the healing, soak them in water for a few hours before exposing them to the moonlight. Enable the fragrant smoke of incense to pass through the crystals many times. Candlelight: The light and heat generated by the candle flame will help the crystal clear absorbed energies. Immerse in water for a cleaning bath overnight or for a few hours throughout the day. Bells, bowls, tuning forks, and Om chanting are also examples of sound that can help dispel dense energy that a crystal has consumed. Burying crystals in the soil for a few hours is also an excellent process. Visualization: Visualize an emerald green luminous light approaching and clearing the crystal. Clusters and Selenite plates perform well as cleansing crystals. Intentional breathing: you should recite Om or some other Mantra while softly blowing over your crystals. Physical Contact: Softly brush your hands over the crystal with the purpose of dispelling any thick, harmful energies it has absorbed. Sea Salt: We aren't huge fans of it. It can harm the crystal over time, so it's a normal practice that you can follow if you feel compelled to. Taking care of your crystals in a caring and timely manner aids your own healing process by raising your frequencies as you engage with them further.
Shikha: Since crystals are made by Mother Earth, the only way to cleanse or care for them is to use the four natural elements: Earth, Water, Fire, and Air. You can cleanse them with running water, or pass them around a lamp, incense stick, or sage leaves for some Earth energy, or hold them in a potted plant for some Earth energy. Full Moons, and particularly thunderstorms, attract crystals. During Full Moons, I charge and electrify all of my healing by placing them on the balcony in the moonlight.
#5. Whose crystals should be stored at home and which should be worn?
Shabnam: Large geodes, tumbles, clusters, and raw crystals are suitable for use in the home. Smaller dots, cabochons, and raw healing can all be used to make jewelry.
Shikha: You can wear crystals as well as keep them in your home. Crystal healing is the shape of bracelets, pendants, and tumbles are nice to wear or carry in your pocket because they perform well when they are attached to the physical body.
Larger chunks, such as clusters, large raw bits, or Geodes, perform wonders in the home. Since our homes are so large, larger crystals are required to transfer the energy of the room. If you find there is a lot of negativity in your room or if there are a lot of conflicts in your home, healing like Black Tourmaline and Selenite are great to have around. Negativity is released from spaces by Black Tourmaline, and Selenite transforms the energy into light consciousness. They build a highly effective defense grid for your environment.
a) Prosperity is a term that refers to a state of becoming prosperous.
Shabnam: Golden Pyrite, Malachite, and Citrine are among the best stones for attracting prosperity electricity.
Shikha: Citrine, Pyrite, and Green Aventurine are perfect for growth, wealth, and taking more opportunities into your room because they bind to the solar plexus chakra.
b) Interactions:
Shabnam: Rose Quartz, Rhodochrosite, and Rhodonite are known for cultivating affection, both for others and for oneself, and for forming close bonds and relaxing emotions.
Shikha: Rose Quartz, Kunzite, Rhodonite, and Rhodocrosite are excellent for heart healing and attracting affection.
c) General happiness:
Shabnam: Clear Quartz is a master crystal that has the ability to boost energy levels. Amethyst is another powerful crystal that promotes rest and relaxation as well as increased sensitivity.
Shikha: Selenite is beneficial since it shields the aura and provides a light barrier around the body.
• Emotional balance, mental clarity for de-stressing, and increased energy:
Shabnam: Blue Lace Agate, Rose Quartz, and Amethyst for soothing negative designs, harmony, and de-stressing.
Shikha: Crystals like Lepidolite, Howlite, Carnelian, Jade, and Amethyst are excellent for balancing and healing feelings, as well as boosting imagination and powers.

8 Ways To Incorporate Crystals Into Your Everyday Life
Crystals are being seen by more people than ever before. And rightfully so! These stones have been imbued with thousands, if not millions, of years of Earth's past, giving them a soothing aura that can aid any mindful practice. A crystal activity that works for one person may not work for the next, just as it does for any diet or workout regimen. Thankfully, there are a plethora of opportunities to use these incredible stones on a daily basis. Here are eight ideas to get you started:
1. When meditating, hold a diamond in your hands.
Meditation is one of the easiest ways to communicate with crystals. Begin by closing your eyes and focusing on your breath while keeping your crystal in one or both hands. You may notice your body sinking deeper into the earth, giving you a sense of grounding. You can sense a sense of lightness around you. It's quite possible that you won't feel anything right away. Some crystals don't really resonate with you, and some make your skin hairs stick up. Each crystal will have a unique feel, so be careful and try new things.
2. Make a grid of crystals.
A holy geometrical grid is believed to help magnify the influence of a collection of crystals. Here's a step-by-step guide to getting your grid up and running (it's a lot simpler than you think!). Since the designs can be confusing, I suggest using grid cloths as a reference if you're new to crystal grids.
3. Toss in any crystals to your altar.
Crystals will add a stunning lift of earth energy to your at-home altar. A single-edged crystal point will also help to magnify the intentions you set in your room. Placing a few of them on top of a sheet of paper with your plan written on it might be a good luck charm.
4. Carry a crystal around with you all day.
The more time you spend with a crystal, the more mindful of its energy you will become. I suggest keeping a crystal in your pocket or purse and taking it out anytime you need to concentrate yourself or refocus your mind on the goal you're pursuing.
5. Use crystals to adorn the body.
When you put crystals on your body, they have a totally different effect from when you just touch them. Select a stone that refers to the chakra (find out what they are here) and put it where the chakra resides in the body while you're working on curing it. This helps to awaken the feelings that need to be healed by stirring the energies surrounding the chakra.
Start by tending to your root chakra with smoky quartz, or put an aventurine over your heart to open your heart chakra to receiving and giving love. To open your crown chakra for enlightenment and instruction, put a clear quartz crystal over your head. During this process, placing a stone over your third-eye chakra will assist you in entering a deeper state of meditation.
6. During your yoga session, use crystals.
Keeping crystals on your yoga mat will help you exercise in a more peaceful setting. During savasana, you can also put crystals on your body to promote a deeper state of meditation.
7. Infuse the space with a sense of well-being.
Crystals have long been a staple of yoga and meditation centers, but they've recently appeared in a number of home décor magazines as well. And rightfully so! Larger crystals, though more expensive, make for stunning statement pieces that help to move a space's focus. Clusters of tiny crystals will also add a sense of calm to every room in your house if you don't want to spend the money on a bigger stone.
8. Make crystals a part of your self-care routine.
Many self-care habits will benefit from the properties of crystals. Bring your (clean!) crystals into the bath with you or soak them in the water you use to wash your face for a DIY spa massage.
