❄️ HCA 409B: Internship
Please note that this course is subject to minor changes and tweaks. I'll be updating it as the start of Winter term draws closer. However, the overall outcomes, delivery, and structure will be the same as that presented below.
You'll enroll in this class while you're completing your internship during winter term. In addition to the 90 hours of internship work you're required to complete, you'll submit weekly reflection assignments on Moodle. I'll also give you several brainstorming assignments throughout the term designed to help you start thinking about and preparing for your final capstone project.
From the official course description: This course integrates the components of a your curriculum into a real-world experience working in a healthcare administration internship setting. This course will help you prepare for a profession in a healthcare setting and finalize your capstone project or paper.
At the completion of this course, you will be able to:
have experience working in a healthcare administration setting
evaluate your internship experience in relation to the HCA program outcomes
compare and contrast your experiences with those of your peers
design a capstone project idea or research question
