Thin-film transistors with Oxide semiconductors
Thin-film transistors (TFTs) are devices in which essential units such as the active layer, insulator, and electrode exist in the form of thin films, playing a critical role in driving displays. In particular, oxide TFTs utilizing oxide semiconductor materials are actively applied and developed in the display industry due to their excellent ON/OFF characteristics and good uniformity. Based on the fact that the characteristics of oxide TFTs vary with structure, materials, and processing techniques, our ASEL group focuses on implementing high-end oxide TFTs for next-generation high-quality displays through the optimization of various structures, processing methods, and materials.
