During the program orientation module, I learned how to use different kinds of information technology tools for the purposes of collaboration and data sharing and storage. 

This module focused on not only laws and policies related to education, but also on working with students of diversity, with disabilities, and with English language learners. 

Critical to learning in the 21st century, this module focused on  available digital tools and their implementation in the classroom.  Within this unit, there was a focus on how technology could allow for specific differentiation for different learners. 

This module focused on the creation of classroom cultures and norms. Additionally, I worked on learning to manage student behavior in the classroom and on setting high expectations for all students to encourage them to reach their maximum learning potential. 

In order to be successful in the classroom it is essential to be prepared. This module looked at addressing standards and developing units which not only meet those standards, but provide students with high-quality, intentional academic instruction. 

Assessment of student achievement is essential, but in this module I learned its importance outside of being a means of giving grades. Formative assessment can be used as a means of feedback to inform learners of progress which can in turn lead to higher levels of achievement. 

This module prepared me for success during my clinical teaching. I prepared lessons, observed other teachers, and met with my mentor teacher to prepare for my clinical. 

This is where everything I learned in the certification program was put into practice. Within this module, I planned, taught, and reflected upon my own lessons. 

In the first module of my Master's program, which focused on Globalization in Education, I learned about trends in globalization and policies and perspectives surrounding global education. 

In this module, I focus my learning on regional trends relating to globalization, curriculum, and on how global education has evolved in the 21st century. 

Nearing the end of my Master's Program, I focused on key terminology within global education and on meeting the needs of culturally and linguistically diverse learners. 

To finish the Master's in Globalization in Education program, I completed an Action Research Project (ARP) focused in Creating a Culture of International Mindedness.
