Modeling the well-designed systems of plants

I have been interested in the well-designed, beautiful systems of plants. My MSc research at the University of Tokyo focused on photoperiodic flowering and floral bud formation. I enjoyed exploring the genetic system in plants' molecular and physiological mechanisms in response to stress and the environment.

Large omics resources allow for comprehensive genetic analysis and mathematical modeling

I mainly study plant-microbe interactions in the rhizosphere through multi-omics analysis of genomes, metagenomes, and metabolomes. I am trying to improve phenotype prediction and understand plant-microbe networks by developing new genomic prediction models using machine learning. I am also developing a new latent variable model for high-dimensional omics data.
