Haw’Kiosken Thorupstrand – New Energy, Same Wonderful Coastal Atmosphere

Haw’Kiosken has a new captain at the helm: Julie Olsen – born and raised in Thorupstrand – took over the kiosk in 2024, bringing with her deep local knowledge and a strong love for the area. Julie comes from a true fishing family, where the sea and the fishing boats have been a natural part of daily life for generations. This means she not only knows Thorupstrand inside and out – she’s also passionate about sharing the town’s history, the importance of the fishing trade, and all the natural treasures the area has to offer.

Alongside her role as kiosk owner, Julie works at the local school and already has solid experience from both local retail and three previous seasons behind the counter at Haw’Kiosken. When the opportunity arose to take over the kiosk, she grabbed it with great enthusiasm and a clear vision for the future.

Julie will be in the kiosk most of the summer, side by side with her energetic, local seasonal team. Together, they’re ready to serve great food, warm smiles, and helpful tips to both hungry guests and curious tourists.
