Potential Referees should know that Officiating/Refereeing in any sport is a selfless endeavor. Without referees there will be no official competition and standards.
This is not a going to be a full-time job, nor will it pay much in Hawaii. You get what you put in, the more you put in, the more you will get. The better you are and the more available you are the more you assignments you will likely get and the more you will be paid.
Each referee is considered an independent contractor. Your pay rate will be dependent on either the client contract, the level of play, duty, and/or your Referee Rating. Pay will vary, possibly up to $150 per match on rare occasions (depending on the event promoter).
Most games/matches will be scheduled at around 4:00 pm on weekdays, and all day weekends/holidays. Of course, it is not mandatory to referee every single day.
