Upcoming Events

🗓  August 19, 2026 — Pre-School-Year Chess Meetup

2:30 - 4:30pm At Independence Park on Central Street. We'll have chess boards set up at the park tables, lemonade, snacks, and hopefully some special guest players joining us from the ETHS Chess Team and Northwestern University's Chess Club. It's a great opportunity for current club members and incoming 6th graders to meet each other and play some chess in a relaxed outdoor setting before the school year begins. ES Chess Tournaments

Haven Chess Club is part of the Evanston Scholastic Chess (ES Chess) program — a network of K–8 chess clubs across Evanston District 65 that runs five Swiss-format tournaments each school year, open to all students regardless of experience. Registration and info at eschess.org.
