Haven Chess Club meets after school in the Haven Library, hosted by our club sponsor Ms. Christine Vasilj. Sessions include coached instruction, puzzles, casual games, and themed activities designed to make chess fun and engaging for every skill level. Our goal is to build a welcoming, active chess community at Haven Middle School; one where every student feels like they belong.

Haven Chess Club is proud to have Morgan Riley as our chess coach. Morgan grew up playing competitive chess in Evanston and has been coaching youth chess for several years. She brings a patient, engaging teaching style that makes the game accessible for beginners while challenging experienced players to grow.
