Dream Tales is a bedtime story application for Apple TV designed to help families create and enjoy personalized bedtime stories and calming sleep experiences.
We respect the privacy of children and families. This Privacy Policy explains what information Dream Tales collects, how it is used, and which third-party services are involved.
Dream Tales may process the following information to provide its features:
A parent or guardian may create a child profile containing:
First name
Age or age range
Gender
Selected interests
This information is used to personalize the child’s experience, organize stories, and provide personalized bedtime stories.
Dream Tales stores information associated with generated stories, including:

Selected theme
Moral lesson

This information is used to provide the My Stories, favorites, history, and playback features.
Dream Tales uses Firebase Anonymous Authentication to create an anonymous identifier.
No email address, password, or traditional account registration is required to use the app.
The anonymous identifier is used to associate a household’s app data with its corresponding data stored in Firebase.
Dream Tales stores a limited usage counter to enforce the Free Plan limit of three newly generated stories per week.
If a parent or guardian voluntarily submits a support request, the request may contain the information they choose to provide, including a message and the child’s first name.
This information is used only to provide customer support.
Dream Tales uses Google’s Gemini API to generate bedtime stories.
For story generation, Dream Tales sends only the information required to generate the requested story:
Selected theme
Selected moral lesson
Coarse age range
Requested story length
The child’s name, gender, exact age, interests, story history, and saved story content are not sent to Gemini for story generation.
Personalization involving the child’s name is performed within the app after the generated story is received.

Dream Tales uses Firebase Analytics to understand general product usage and improve the application.

Analytics events do not intentionally include a child’s name, story content, exact age, gender, interests, or saved story content.
Gemini is used only for generating requested bedtime story content as described above.
Apple’s StoreKit is used to process subscriptions and determine the user’s current Premium entitlement.
Dream Tales does not receive or store the user’s payment card information.
Dream Tales does not contain third-party advertising.
The app does not use:
Advertising networks
Behavioral advertising
IDFA for advertising
Cross-app tracking
Cross-site tracking
We do not sell user data.
Dream Tales is designed for family use and is available in the Kids category.
We take children’s privacy seriously.
Child profile information is provided by a parent or guardian and is used only for the app’s functionality, including personalization, story organization, and related features.
We do not use children’s information for advertising or behavioral tracking.
The child’s name is not sent to the Gemini story-generation service.
Parents or guardians should supervise children’s use of the application and manage child profiles and purchases through the available parental controls.
Dream Tales also maintains limited information locally on the Apple TV, including cached stories and playback state.
Local cached information is used to support story playback and continuation features.
This local cache is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information processed by Dream Tales.
Firebase data is protected using Firebase Authentication and Firestore security rules designed to restrict private user data to the associated anonymous user.
No security system can guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect information from unauthorized access.
Dream Tales offers an optional Premium subscription.
Subscription payments are processed by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit.
Dream Tales does not store payment card information.
Subscription entitlement is determined using Apple’s StoreKit system.
Users can manage or cancel subscriptions through their Apple account and device subscription settings.
Information is retained only as needed to provide the app’s functionality, maintain story history, enforce usage limits, provide customer support, and operate the service.
Story history and child profile information may remain associated with the anonymous account until it is deleted or otherwise removed through available account/data-management mechanisms.
Third-party services may have their own retention practices governed by their respective privacy policies.
