We’re excited to welcome all students and families to our Harwood Girls Athletics program! Whether you’re new to school athletics or returning for another season, our program is designed to help student-athletes build skills, confidence, and character both on and off the field. Athletics at this level is not only about competition—it’s about learning teamwork, commitment, leadership, and perseverance.
Diverse Athletic Opportunities: A variety of sports will be offered throughout the year, giving every student a chance to explore their interests and abilities.
Teamwork & Sportsmanship: Coaches emphasize character, effort, and respect—values that extend beyond the game.
Growth & Development: Our focus is on developing fundamental skills, promoting physical fitness, and encouraging a lifelong love for sports.
Getting Started
Before the season begins, all athletes must have a current physical on file and complete the online UIL paperwork. Details about tryouts, practice schedules, and team meetings will be shared by each sport’s coach and posted on that sport's page.
Parent Involvement
Parents and guardians are key to a successful athletic experience. From attending games to volunteering and supporting teams, your involvement is always appreciated.
Communication
It is our priority to have great communication with both athletes and parents. We have several communication methods to get any big announcements and/or important information that you will need throughout the school year.
Harwood Girls Athletics Website: All general information regarding athletics can be found on this website.
Email: If your child is enrolled in Harwood Girls Athletics, you are already on our email list!
SportsYou: Download the SportsYou app and type in the code for your grade level. Every team will also have its own SportsYou page.
