Background

Harsnett's membership is drawn from all over the country and we rehearse only on the day of a visit so it's important that our members are able to sightread well and cope with the limited rehearsal time.  

Members can choose which visits they wish to attend - as many or as few as they like. In order to maintain a balanced choir at each visit, we limit numbers on a first-come-first-served basis by voice part. You will be told if the visit is oversubscribed and placed on a reserve list in case someone has to withdraw.

If you're interested in what we do, why not come and give us try?  We recommend that prospective new members come and sing with us first and see if you like it. Please contact Ed to discuss when and where we next have a vacancy.

If you enjoy your first visit with us, you can apply for membership. Membership is by short informal audition, which can be done at your next visit. 

Membership fees (2023)

Once membership has been confirmed, there is a membership fee of £16 a day up to a maximum of £80 a year.
