My idea is a seat cushion that will signal the user after a predetermined time interval to get up and take a break before returning to the seat. It will do this through a pressure sensor in the cushion (to sense whether a person is seated) and a timer dial that can be configured with the sitting and break time lengths. This aims to increase productivity and decrease stress by making the user get up and interact with the environment while they are unable to sit.

plastic for the timer dial; this is a cheap substance and has good functionality since the only purpose of the part is to toggle the dial to specific times
cloth for the cushion; likely a cotton or polyester blend that allows for a comfortable experience while not being too pricey
stainless steel for the pressure sensor; this is relatively inexpensive, easy to produce in comparison to nickel alloys, and offers good strength and elasticity as it will frequently feel force from the seated person and may have to bend due to it

I've made the coin box out of a glossy oak wood, as it is a sturdy material with friction in a good range to let the coin slide down the ramp easily. An unfinished wood or softer material might have caused the coin to not be able to slide fully down the ramp, and the sound of metal coins on a metal ramp and box might be loud and unpleasant. Instead, glossy wood has a nice appearance, muffles sound, and allows coins to slide down the ramp with ease. Through this exercise I learned how to use the shell, loft, and extrude (to remove material) tools. The ramp in particular gave me some difficulty because I didn't know how to go about creating diagonal sketches, but after finding some tutorials I realized I could create two sketches and loft them to create a ramp.
