1. Scope
1.1 This policy sets out how and why your personal information is collected, what information is collected, how it is stored, who it is shared with, and how and why it is used.
1.2 Personal information refers to any detail that is unique to you and discloses, or could disclose, your identity.
1.3 For the purpose of this policy, Happy Hounds Holmes Chapel is the ‘Data Controller’ of this information.

1.5 You will receive a copy of this policy before or during your consultation appointment. Please be aware that by booking and attending training sessions following your consultation, you are agreeing to the collection and use of your information in accordance with this policy.
2. Information collection, storage and processing
2.1 Before beginning training I collect your details including your name, address, phone number, email address. I collect your dog's name, age, sex, neuter status, breed, and information about how they were acquired, their general health, behaviour concerns, and any previous trainer involvement. During training I will collect information about your dog’s behaviour, and training that takes place. This includes written information, and where applicable, photos and videos.
2.2 You choose to provide your information verbally when you have a face-to-face consultation. You may also choose to provide information electronically in the form of emails, text messages, or communication via social media platforms.
2.3 I collect the information listed above about you and your dog in order to provide and improve requested services, and so that the training advice I provide is as accurate as possible.
2.4 Your information is kept confidential, and never shared with third parties. The only exception to this is if I believe a person or animal is at risk of harm, or where the action is necessary to comply with a legal duty.
2.5 Your information is stored electronically, and in some cases physically, and is protected with relevant anti-virus software and secure passwords, however please be aware that no method of electronic or physical storage is 100% secure, and I cannot guarantee the security of your information.
3. Your rights
3.1 You are entitled to the following:
to request copies of your personal data,
to request that I correct any information you believe is inaccurate or incomplete,
to request that I erase your personal data, under certain conditions,
to request that I restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions,
to object to the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions,
to request that I transfer the data that we have collected to another organisation, or directly to you, under certain conditions.
