My name is Abbie, I'm a dog walker, trainer, and Assistance Dog Specialist covering the Holmes Chapel area.

I have had a passion for animals for as long as I can remember; feathered, furry or scaled, I loved them all. However it wasn't until I was an adult that I got my first dog.

My journey with training began when I acquired a puppy to train as my own Assistance Dog. Working with a local organisation, I began training her at 8 weeks old. Two years later she passed her Public Access Test and qualified as my Assistance Dog, completely turning my life around.

Over these last 5 years I have volunteered walking dogs in my local community, shadowed two dogs trainers where I assisted with training and handling several placement Assistance Dogs, and completed qualifications in:

• Animal Welfare;

• Canine Anatomy and Physiology;

• Veterinary Assistance;

• Assistance Dog Specialist;

• Canine Conditioning: Body Awareness and Balance;

• Dogs and Children;

• Canine Nutrition;

• Canine Massage Therapy

I now work training Assistance Dogs, as well as working with pet dogs, teaching puppy skills, helping modify behaviour, and coaching pet parents on strengthening their bond with their pet through communication. 

I abide by modern, science backed Force Free training methods, and pride myself on keeping up-to-date on the latest research in the fields of training, behaviour, health and nutrition.
