Program Assistant & Assessment Chair September 2023-March 2024
Facilitated leadership and identity-based workshop curriculums for student and faculty groups. Led personal coaching sessions to individuals and tailored content. Collected and processed data from feedback forms to create data reports for future workshop and coaching sessions from the 22-23 academic year. Resulted in over 200 students served.
WHOLE EARTH NATURE SCHOOL Eugene, OR
Lead Instructor June-July 2023
Lead environmental education activities for groups of 6-20 elementary students at Mt. Pisgah Arboretum outside in varying weather conditions. Provided mentorship for students and integrated bird identification throughout the curriculum. Resulted in student engagement and meeting 5 weekly learning outcomes.
JAQUA ACADEMIC CENTER Eugene, OR
Student Athlete Tutor March-June 2023
Guided individual students and groups of 2-5 through environmental science courses through a 10-week term. Courses included content in geography, environmental studies, environmental science, and earth. Followed NCAA guidelines for tutor training, resulting in over 30 student athletes completing coursework.
LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE
ENVIRONMENTAL LEADERSHIP PROGRAM - AVES COMPARTIDAS “SHARED BIRDS”
Facilitator
Developed and implemented 5 lesson plans and 1 field trip for 3 fourth grade classes on a team of 7 based in ornithology to develop students' birding skills and practice. Instructed classes of elementary students about migratory bird species between the Laja watershed in Guanajuato, MX and Oregon, USA through a bilingual curriculum. Connected with community partners and used NAEE guidelines to develop curriculum.
