Born in Bayamón, Puerto Rico and raised in Dallas, Texas I grew up with a love for nature which ultimately led me to the University of Oregon. Having recently earned a Bachelor of Science in environmental science and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish with a minor in geography, I hope to combine these two passions towards a career in environmental education. My main interests as an undergraduate included studying geographic information systems through remote sensing, developing environmental education curriculum, and going birding. I've been able to apply my knowledge of Spanish linguistics through bilingual education as part of the Aves Compartidas team in the Environmental Leadership Program. My ultimate goal is to practice the science I teach through creating bilingual curriculum and researching avian ecology.
