In the future, I would like to pursue the career of becoming a sports dietician. To be able to achieve this goal, I am going to have to really dial into the second half of my college education. I am planning on continuing my college education past undergraduate school, and to prepare for that next chapter of learning, I will need to do well in these next two years that I have left.
After taking the workplace readiness survey, I realized I still need to learn things that will help me achieve my graduate school goals and professional goals. I still think that I need to continue educating myself in Area D (science and mathematics) courses, especially if I want to continue to become a dietician. I think that I have a good understanding of the information learned in the basic courses, but I know that in continuing my education, I will be learning about those courses in dept. Another area that I learned that I could still improve on is the written and oral communication skills. This area of learning will become crucial in developing, because if I am continuing my education, I know that I will need to improve my writing especially when I will have to write many research/ labs report papers. I also realized that I am confident in my problem-solving skills (math), which is going to help me in my upper-level courses that I will have to take coming up.
To achieve my goals, I know that I will need to focus, learn, and apply the courses that I will have the rest of my undergraduate career to make sure that I am well prepared for my next chapter of learning in graduate school. My plan to achieve my educational and professional goals is to go above and beyond in the courses that I will be taking and to find ways to learn more outside school, such as shadowing a professional to learn more about what I want to do as a career.
