Connor does most of the behind the scenes work, as well as being the primary caretaker for many special needs animals that come through us.
Carter does a lot of the day to day work with the animals, as well as coordinating most of our meet-up times and locations.
We got our start in October 2020 as Reptiles, Rodents, and Rejects Rescue. In May of 2021 we had to temporarily close, but as of August of 2021 we are happy to announce that we are starting to reopen. We started this rescue to fill a need in our community, and even now that need is still around.
In reopening we have decided to make some changes, with a new name and more species on our accepted list we're back and ready to start helping animals again.
We take in animals that can no longer be cared for; we primarily take in emergency placements and special needs animals. We work with reptiles, rodents, and occasionally invertebrates and fish. We may consider other species in emergencies if they are a species we have experience with. We do not work with dogs or cats, we are solely an exotics rescue. We also provide education on caring for species that we are familiar with.
Squeak Freaks Rattery is a family owned rattery. They focus on temperament and have some of the sweetest rats. Squeak Freaks also accepts rescues and we function as overflow for each other, as well as transferring animals to each other when we get animals outside of our specialties.
TRD is a new partner for us, and we're looking forward to working with them going forward. TRD breeds high quality reptiles and arachnids. We accept rescues from them, and in general animals that we may be a better environment for.
