The Haig Neighbours Community Garden is located in the parkette at 91 York St.
Built by neighbours with support from the City of St. Catharines and the local businesses in our community, this space has quickly become the hub and heart of the neighbourhood.
The garden is maintained by volunteers and gardeners with leased plots. New volunteers are always welcome and appreciated.
Plots for lease:
Eight garden plots are available for lease on a first-come, first-served basis. An annual fee of $25 applies. Anyone may apply for a plot, but neighbours who do not have access to their own gardening space are prioritized.
Applications for open plots open each year in February.
Everybody's Garden:
The rest of the community garden belongs to everyone. The pink plot is open for picking, but please do not remove the plants and leave enough for others.
The raspberry and strawberry patches at the north end of the garden are also open for picking.
