St. Catharines received over 300mm of rainfall between July 21 and August 2, 2026
St. Catharines experienced devastating flooding in the summer of 2026. While the north end of the city was the worst affected, no neighbourhood was spared. Many households in the Haig suffered serious damage and loss.
The newly created Northend Neighbours have established a survey collecting feedback on the varying experiences of residents from across the City. MPP Jennie Stevens will bring this data to Queen's Park to help advocate for additional disaster mitigation resources from the provincial government for neighbourhoods like ours.
However the floods impacted you, the more responses collected, the better. Please complete the survey and help us be better prepared for the next episode.
