Whether this is your first conference or one of many, I hope MIMUN proves to be not only intellectually stimulating but also personally meaningful. As a person interested in IR, MUN is one of

My name is Hyeyeon Park, and I'm truly honored to serve as the Chair of the United Nations Security Council for this year's conference. For me, MUN has been a space to think  critically about the world, speak confidently, and grow — both as a student and as a global citizen. Through every resolution I’ve written and every negotiation I’ve taken part in, I’ve learned not just how to debate, but how to listen, empathize, and grow.

I truly hope MIMUN becomes that same space for you. You’re here not just to speak, but to build something meaningful together with people from different backgrounds and perspectives.

As Chair, I’ll do everything I can to ensure that our committee is a respectful, inclusive, and intellectually engaging environment. Don’t hesitate to take risks, ask questions, or make mistakes — every moment is an opportunity to learn.

Over the course of this conference, we’ll tackle complex global issues, challenge each other’s viewpoints, and maybe even surprise ourselves with what we’re capable of achieving. But more importantly, we’ll create a shared experience that — I hope — will stay with you long after MIMUN ends.

So once again, welcome. I can’t wait to see the ideas you bring to the table, and the leadership you grow into over the next few days.

My name is Eun Jung, and it is a great honor to welcome you as your Chair for the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) during Day 2 of MIMUN XIX. Serving as a delegate to the SC will be a one-of-a-kind experience. As someone deeply committed to International Relations, I can assure you that it truly is the most distinctive body in the UN. This will be a wonderful opportunity both to learn how international power works and to enhance your public speaking and negotiation skills. I’m Lee Ann Ha, and I’ll be serving as your chair for the World Health Organization (WHO) at HAFS MIMUN XIX. It’s a privilege to be part of a space where young voices come together to reflect and challenge the way we think about the world. MUN, in my experience, is not just about resolutions or procedure—it’s about discovering your voice, respecting difference, and learning the power of perspective. Throughout the conference, I hope each of you steps beyond your comfort zone. Speak not just to be heard, but to understand. I’m Yujun Jeong. I’ll be serving as the chair for the World Trade Organization(WTO). I am looking forward to seeing the delegates passionate discussions, persuasive speeches and debates.
