Forrest is a software engineer at Facebook, working on well-being and safety features for Messenger and Instagram. He found his love for programming while creating indie games and mobile apps during high school and college. Today, Forrest is passionate about outreach and helping students find their passions and future careers. In his free time, he enjoys doing product photography and writing music.
Lukas Tuong is a storyteller and a budding data scientist. He has spearheaded several projects across different disciplines of data science & machine learning. Especially, he was Microsoft Student Ambassador and also a volunteer for the UNDP's Crisis Informatics NLP project. He will be moving to NYC soon for his new job as Data Scientist at Capgemini.
Priyanka Mirchandani is a Senior Software Engineer at Bloomberg LP since 2006. Her work involves applying software engineering concepts to build financial applications. She received her Masters in Computer Science from SUNY at Stony Brook. She is a member of Bloomberg’s Women In Technology Community (BWIT). She sits on the committee of her Department’s Women’s group – Women In Electronic Trading (WIET). She is also a B-Techie’s Curriculum Developer for BWIT’s outreach program designed to promote STEM with interactive activities for middle and elementary school kids through a series of workshops each semester. In order to make learning to code affordable and accessible to as many kids as possible, she and her husband started Super Coders, a Coding Class for Elementary and Middle School kids, where they have been teaching over weekends since 2018.
Vedant Bahel is an Indian author and researcher. Vedant's primary area of research is in the domain of Machine Learning and Robot Optimization. Bahel is a 2021 MITACS Canada GRI Scholar and also is awarded IEEE Richard E Merwin Award in 2021. Vedant is also a TEDx speaker.
