Adrija Kundu is a rising junior at the Middlesex County Academy for Science, Mathematics, and Engineering Technologies. She is an avid traveler and is really passionate about biology, chemistry, and geography. In the future, she hopes to pursue a career in biophysics research and make an impact on the field of medicine.
Varija Mehta is a rising junior at the Middlesex County Academy for Science, Mathematics, and Engineering Technologies. She is passionate about cybersecurity and a strong advocate for gender equality in the field of STEM. She hopes to pursue computer science and cybersecurity in college and wishes to leave her mark in the world and inspire as many other people as possible!
Shagun Khare is a rising junior at the Middlesex County Academy for Science, Mathematics, and Engineering Technologies. She is a computer science enthusiast, and is she is passionate about the intersection in quantum computing and financial technologies. She is passionate about bridging the diversity gap in STEM through community service events.
Doug is a librarian, informal educator, presenter and advocate who is passionate about developing and delivering hands-on, interactive learning experiences for those of all ages. He is a principal organizer of NJ Makers Day, a statewide showcase event highlighting innovative play, entrepreneurship, making and STEM in New Jersey. His program initiatives have been recognized for their impact and excellence from the NJ State Legislature, New Jersey Library Association (NJLA), and American Association of School Librarians. He is a recipient of a New Jersey Library Association (NJLA) Library Service Award, named a Library Journal Mover and Shaker for Advocacy and most recently named 2020 NJLA Librarian of the Year. Presently, Doug serves as Associate Director at the Piscataway Public Library where he has worked for the last eight years.
Kate-Lynn Brown is a Teen Services Librarian at the Piscataway Public Library in Piscataway, New Jersey. She is heavily involved in NJLA, the State Library Association, having served as President of the Young Adult Services Section and currently serving as the Association Newsletter Editor. Kate-Lynn also works with New Jersey Makers Day, a small-but mighty nonprofit focused on highlighting STEM and maker culture in New Jersey's Libraries, and volunteers with a Sexual Violence Prevention Coalition. In her free time, Kate-Lynn enjoys reading, crafting, and playing with her dogs!
Sareena Naganand is an incoming sophomore at Piscataway High School who is passionate about education, biology, chemistry and human health. She enjoys reading, writing, creating art, playing the violin, programming and doing unhealthy amounts of calligraphy on any items which require beautification. In the future, Sareena aspires to pursue a career as a biomedical researcher and doctor.
Aditya Dutt is currently in 11th grade at the Middlesex County Academy. He has competed in the RobocupJunior National competitions for 3 years through Storming Robots using C++, Python, Arduino, and Raspberry Pi. He enjoys coding and also has experience with various 3D modeling software like Fusion 360, Tinkercad, and others. In his free time, Aditya likes to play violin and act onstage.
